Let the 2022 Season of Hearts 4 Haiti Begin!

Image
Welcome! I am SO EXCITED to be starting up Eliza's Hearts 4 Haiti again this year. I am currently a full-time student at the University of Utah studying communications with an emphasis in public relations, in hopes of continuing on in humanitarian work in the future. This year, I am working with my peers at the university to try and create the biggest positive impact we can to help those in Haiti. I have had the unique opportunity to partner with doTERRA Healing Hands match program. Through it, they will double the money we are able to raise these next couple of months. My goals are to spread the word and with the amazing support and donations offered, present a Haiti Jar with enough money in it to impact the lives of many Haitians. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Check back here, or follow us on Instagram in order to receive updates and follow along through our 2022 season of service. ❤/ Eliza

I met with my school Principal Ms. Earnest and she was excited for Orion Junior High to help me raise money for Healing Hands for Haiti this Valentine's Day.  Jump ahead several steps and conversations later and we now have the help of a professional Marketing Director (courtesy of Dr. Randle).   KUTV News 2 has decided to do a feature story on Eliza's Hearts 4 Haiti in January.  It is so awesome to see how responsive everyone has been to help out... now if we can just figure out how to pull it all off.;) Ms. Earnest (Principal), Eliza, Ms. Haws (Vice Principal) 😅😅😅😅😅😅

An update from our 2016 season

An update from our 2016 season : Above are some pictures I forgot to post as I prepared the bags in February for delivery.  I finally was able to make the drive (with my mom) an hour away to give the money to Dr. Randle.  It is always so exciting for me to hand him the money.  It gives me a purpose for all the work that goes into it and knowing it is actually helping people in a very real way makes me feel so good.  I am hoping to involve my Junior High this year so I can hand over double or triple what I have been able to do on my own... excited to see if Elizas Hearts for Haiti can grow.  Looking forward to Valentines Day 2017!!

New Year, New Goal!

I am so excited to double the amount of donations for Healing Hands for Haiti this year!  Here is a picture of me with Dr. Randle and my friend Emma who helped me last year that I forgot to post.  I feel so grateful to be part of something bigger than myself that really makes a difference for others.  As I get older I hope to really develop this into a supportive fundraiser for Healing Hands for Haiti that will make a difference for the people there... not just for me and the opportunity I receive in doing it.  Dr. Randle even said I could accompany him to Haiti when I am 16 to actually visit and see the people and facilities I have heard so much about.  Following is a link to a video that highlights how Healing Hands for Haiti was started by Dr. Randle and how desperately Haiti needs the clinics' help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N_lc0yNWHM Happy Valentines Day 201 6 !

2015 is turning out fantastic for Hearts for Haiti!  Smiths Marketplace Bakery has donated most of the cookies for the bags and a great deal of the chocolate.  I am so grateful because this means I can hand more money over to Dr. Randle for HHH.  I have had to re-learn the lesson that I should start to prepare for this much earlier than I have this year but I am excited to finish delivering orders tomorrow and have a table to sell the un-ordered bags at Smith's tomorrow afternoon.  I am very grateful to my friend Emma and my Mom who have helped me through this process. Wild week getting these together... but VERY fun! #buriedinhearts4haitibags. Also, check out this recent link from Dr. Randle and an ongoing fundraiser he has thought up for his organization.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYJfGlYuRUA  .  I am excited to take him the money at the end of the month.

After a little break, I am back in the business of helping Haiti. With the help of Smith's and Lee's Marketplace I have pulled it off and I am selling the 2015 Hearts for Haiti Valentine bags for $2.00 a bag. 100% of the profits will go to Healing Hands for Haiti. Each bag will hold two cookies, a variety of chocolate candy, and a sparkle heart:). The flavors for this year are M & M, Chocolate Chip, and Double Chocolate Fudge. It is exciting to be helping with this amazing organization again that is helping local Haitians to help themselves. After Valentines Day I take this years "Haiti Jar" and personally give it to Dr. Randle, in Salt Lake City, who founded the organization.  If you would like to order a bag or two... please email me at stewcrew5@msn.com. Thanks!

Happy Valentines Day 2012!

Well, we did it!  We had only 4 days to market my Hearts for Haiti bags but we sold well over 200 bags which was our goal!  Many thanks to Smart Cookie who made delicious cookies to put into the bags.  I LOVE creating Valentines for people to give to people they love.  Even though it is really hard work for a couple of days, it just seems to have reward after reward.  Now I am getting all the money together and I will put it in my "Haiti Jar" that I bought for this year.  Hopefully in the next two days I can take the jar to Dr. Randle and he can give me an update on Healing Hands for Haiti. I know that we could raise so much more money than we do, so I will be thinking this next year about how to do that.  We will definitely need help because my mom and I are tired after making and delivering so many many bags... over 400 cookies!!  Thanks to everyone who supported us! Love, The Valentines Fairy ( a.k.a. Eliza)

Order your Heart for Haiti Valentines now!

It took longer than we thought, but Smart Cookie ( of Utah) is giving us a discount on a variety of cookies to put in our bags this year!  We (mostly my mom) are very happy that professionals will be doing the baking. The flavor choices are: Mint Chocolate Fudge, White Chocolate Fudge and Double Chocolate Fudge.  There will be two cookies in each bag along with a couple of chocolates and my signature sparkle heart stick!  Each bag will have a tag that says "100% of profits go to Healing Hands for Haiti".  It feels really nice to think about people giving their loved ones a tasty Valentine and helping Dr. Randle build his clinics for people that have lost limbs in Haiti.  All orders have to be in by Wednesday, February 8th so we can pass on order numbers to Smart Cookie!  Oh! and we must share that the cost of the bags will be $2.50.  Thanks for reading! Love, The Valentine Fairy

It's that time again... LOVE is in the air ( 2012)!

There has been some anticipation this year for Eliza's Hearts 4 Haiti charity.  I have a goal to sell close to 400 bags!  Last year we sold around 250.  We ( my mom and I) are working with a local cookie shop to custom make the cookies for us so I can compile even more bags and not have to spend so much time doing the cooking.  The cookie company is presently experimenting with a special recipe to make the cookies top quality for us and hopefully "heart-shaped". I can't wait to let everyone know what company will be helping us... I will announce this next week.  Signed, The Valentine Fairy ( Eliza)
